Where else in the world can you attend a luxury supercar show that allows you to buy & see the most refined and rarest models matched with the best luxury watches and jewelry in one shot? The 16th edition of Top Marques Monaco, held at the Grimaldi Forum from the 30th May until the 3rd June 2019, under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, will inspire tangible dreams.
This 5-day exclusive event, organized for the first time by Monaco Check-in in partnership with major sponsors led by Barclays Private Bank, Société de Bains de Mer (SBM), Direction du Tourisme et des Congrès and Mairie de Monaco, is going to reaffirm the key position of the Principality as an international luxury hub. The best brands in the automotive sector like Ferrari, Bugatti, Bentley, Porsche and Lamborghini, will take part to a unique “red carpet”. That event, just following the renowned F1 Grand Prix de Monaco, will be ready to dazzle the Sovereign Prince and the distinguished audience visiting the showrooms.
“It is going to be rich and unprecedented”, highlighted Salim Zeghdar, CEO of Monaco Check In, at the press preview conference on Tuesday the 23rd April 2019 at the Grimaldi Forum. A 4-million-euro combination between a top award-winning race car, the Rebellion R- One LMP1-P, and UFO watch, the Magnum 540 Grand Tourbillon Sapphire, will push this edition to grasp a Guinness record.
The new management worked hard to bring on the stage innovation, new technologies, high performance, luxury and refinement with a particular focus on new-energy top vehicles to champion the cause to sustainable development.
Thus, McLaren latest supercar and Aston Martin’s ‘Special Project’ will be unveiled in a world premiere while Rolls Royce will show its luxury grand tourer Wraith, produced in limited edition. The Australian Supercar company Zacaria will present the first F1-car authorized to be driven on the road despite its 700-horse power. Last but not least, visitors will have the chance to ‘meet’ Azaris, a new off- road prototype by Ferox equipped with six wheels and using the same technology able to walk the Martian land.
Furthermore, some leading independent supercar manufactures, like the Canadian Anibal Automotive, the Italian Militem and the Slovakian Engler Automotive, will show their most recent “jewels” of technology.
To make Top Marques increasingly “green”, the up-to-date Tesla and Audi e-tron models will represent at best the electric car sector. Echoed by the Italian hybrid car Puritalia Berlinetta and the 100% electric hypercar Battista by Pininfarina, Italian iconic car designer. The Monegasque stylish electric bike Stajvelo will show its RV01, a new concept vehicle allowing city users to ride in total comfort and safety with a fancy eco-design.
In view of a targeted section in the coming years, the 2019 Top Marques will please also classic-car lovers through exquisite retro look electric cars by the French manufacturer Devinci in cooperation with the multi-winner auto racing pilot Jean Philippe Dayraut, and Bilenkin Classic Cars’ tailor-made interiors, inspired by the Russian 1950’s Volga. Innovation will be well represented by the electric car ground-breaking technology developed by the Swiss NanoFlowcell company, as well as the first reliable supercar powered by salt water, the Quantino 48Volt.
The top watch Greubel Forsey will delight visitors’ eye with its Art Piece Edition Historique of remarkable techno aesthetics. Roger Dubuis, fond of mechanical wheels, will reveal the Excalibur Huracan, conceived with Lamborghini Squadra Corse. Bovet 1822 will display its extraordinary watches resulting from perfect combination between design and mechanics. Just to name a few.
As far as boats are concerned, a true parade of glamorous beauty, including the best outcomes of marine vessels like Brabus Marine, King-Boat Fjord and the Swedish 100% electric crafts X Shore, and the most precious creations by top brands like Jasre.
Top Marques Monaco 2019 sounds like a rendezvous nobody can miss, but what really matters in managing it? HelloMonaco, media
partner of this event, asked Salim Zeghdar (S.Z.), the new general manager.
HelloMonaco: Mr Zeghdar what makes this edition so special?
S.Z.: We are pleased to plan Top Marques a week after another relevant event on the Monegasque yearly calendar: the Grand Prix de Monaco. Therefore, I am particularly delighted that Rebellion Timepieces are bringing such a distinctive exhibit to the show. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime offer! The person who buys this extraordinary combination (watch and car) will also be invited to test drive their car with a racing driver from the winning Rebellion team. But not only this...the special buyer will attend all FIA World Endurance Championship races for the next season. Let’s say then that this event is not only exclusive but unique. Only 70 super & hyper car manufacturers exist globally and it is very rare to find most of them gathered in one place, making the Principality an international stage as it happens during Monaco Yacht Show.
HelloMonaco: which are the 2019 Top Marques Ambassadors?
S.Z.: This year we have three formers renowned F1 pilots playing as special Top Marques representatives and friendly supporters: Eddie Jordan, David Coulthard and Thierry Boutsen.
HelloMonaco: what would you say to invite HelloMonaco readers to visit Top Marques Monaco?
S.Z.: We will be honoured to welcome them to an exceptional Top- Class Car Expo in between May and June at the charming Grimaldi Forum.
