"For creating an electric future for the maritime economy
As the electric revolution continues to reshape the car market, other transportation sectors are starting to catch up. Small boats—for both business and pleasure—use an enormous amount of fuel. Swedish motorboat manufacturer X Shore is determined to change that by electrifying maritime transportation, including a new luxury electric vessel, to allow boaters to ditch their combustion engine.
X Shore’s three boats on the market reduce carbon emissions versus internal combustion engine (ICE) boats by 50% to 90% and significantly decrease noise pollution that currently disturbs ecosystems of species like whales and dolphins.
The company’s offerings include X Shore Pro, a professional maritime industry vessel whose design is adaptable for activities including diving, fishing, and marine research. In 2024, the company launched the award-winning X Shore 1 Bowrider, a luxury recreational boat, which at $139,000, has achieved cost parity with ICE boats, a crucial step to expanding accessibility."
